INVITED SPEAKERS

Prof. Stanisław Dubiel

Stanisław M. Dubiel has been involved in using spectroscopy based on the Mössbauer effect since early 1970’s. He received his PhD in 1974 from the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy (now AGH University of Krakow). Recipient of fellowships from: Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Max Planck Society, CNRS Paris, IAEA Vienna and professorship from The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.  Main topics of his research include: substitution-induced changes in the spin- and charge-densities in binary Fe-based alloys, spin-glasses, spin-density waves in chromium, phase transitions and their kinetics, Frank-Kasper phases and effect of magnetism on lattice vibrations.
