INVITED SPEAKERS
Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Markéta Holá, Ph.D.
Markéta Holá is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Masaryk University in 2004 and has since developed her academic career in the field of atomic spectrometry, with a particular focus on laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS).
She is a member of the Laboratory of Atomic Spectrochemistry led by Prof. Viktor Kanický. During her academic career, she has worked at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC), where she was a member of the Synthesis and Analysis of Nanostructures research group, and the Department of Chemistry at Masaryk University. In 2024, she completed her habilitation in analytical chemistry and was appointed Associate Professor.
Her current research focuses on laser-sample interaction processes, the formation and transport of laser-generated aerosols, trace and isotope analysis of geological materials, LA-ICP-MS imaging, and isotope-ratio measurements. She has supervised more than 25 bachelor’s and master’s students and currently supervises doctoral students. She is also actively involved in the organization of national and international conferences in analytical chemistry and spectrometry.
