Dr. Stanislav Musil
Stanislav Musil was born in Prague in 1983. Since 2005, he has been working at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences in the Department of Trace Element Analysis. He received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Charles University in Prague in 2011. He then spent several months abroad at the University of Aberdeen, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Research Council in Ottawa. His research focuses on the development of new analytical methods that combine chemical vapor generation (CVG) and photochemical vapor generation (PVG) with analytical atomic spectrometry methods (AAS, AFS, and ICP-MS) for ultratrace element and speciation analysis. In 2018, the Czech Academy of Sciences awarded him the Otto Wichterle Prize.
